Japanese Timber Frame Garden Shed Plans

Sale Price:$100.00 Original Price:$135.00

A full drawing set used for the 2025 Spring Timber Frame Workshop. With experience in Japanese timber framing, this set of plans will provide detail to create a similar structure. The structure is based on a 3×4 grid of 900mm which roughly equates to a 9×12 structure or 108 square feet. Perfect for covering your yard equipment and storage of garden tools or even transform it into a small cabin.

All timbers may be cut to either 90×90 and 90×120 or standard US domestic 4×4 and 4×6 material may be used.

Plans include a full bill of materials, exploded view, joinery detail, and reference pages for each component. Joinery used in this building include standard, collared and hunched, and stacked, mortise and tenon, housed lap joints, 3-way trapazoid dodai joint and the shachi-tsugi floating tenon keyed joint.

Detail is provided to aid in layout of joinery, but due to the unique nature of natural beams, the end user is required to adjust layout accordingly.
