Fir Slab Dining Island
Part of a suite of coordinating designs completed as part of the Kyoto on the Mississippi project.
A nearly 300 year old Douglas Fir tree is given new life as a great dining table coupled to a counter height cooking island. The table is supported by interlocking all-wood joinery using tusked and wedged tenons. The tansu style cooking island features additional floating shelving as well as stainless steel lined drawers for cooking equipment.
